NOSTALGIA

NOSTALGIA
The chiming of the temple bells,
The smells of scented green grass,
And that long winding dreamy path,
There it is! my kaleidoscope of golden memories.

Crossing the waters of the bubbling brook,
Drinking the tear drops of silver dew,
Lapping up the rays of bright sunlight,
We used to walk, hand in hand.

Under the shades of the cool canopy,
By the side of the swaying buttercups,
On the jasmine carpets we walked,
In the rosy hues of many a sunny day.

In sorrows we wept, in joys we smiled,
Spent each day in the zenith of bliss,
The garden gnomes winked at us,
The world was joyous and so were we.

Now you are no more, my dear friends,
You have drained the life from me,
Under the shades of that cool canopy,
Your footsteps are now obscure!

The sands of time have poured out,
A few numb memories freeze in my mind,
Those festive years of enchanting thrills,

Now bid farewell with a backward glance
